Two 10-year-old boys and an 11-year-old girl have swallowed ecstasy tablets while at a primary school south of Wollongong, police believe.
The children, from Windang Public School, experienced dizziness and an elevated heart rate soon after they each swallowed a tablet at lunchtime, Chief Inspector Bob Noble from Lake Illawarra local area command said.
"Our preliminary investigation suggests that a student brought some tablets to school," Chief Inspector Noble said.
"From there, a couple of students were given tablets by this student [and the] suggestion is they were told the tablets were lollies."
