I go out drinking quite often and there have been a few times when I wasn't really watching my drinks all that closely and I found myself incredibly dizzy not because I drank too much, because generally I drink no more than 2-3 beers over several hours. So I am curious if maybe I have been a victim of something.
That will depend on which drug was used, and how much alcohol you have drunk. Only a blood or urine test will conclusively prove which drug it was. As they usually use mind altering drugs you can expect it to affect how you act, or how you behave with other people.
The people I know who have suspected they were victims usually didn't remember anything once the drug hit the system. But friends or onlookers sometimes are around to tell you what happened.
There's an interesting article here

The drugs most commonly used in WA <Australia> drink-spiking are alcohol and a variety of benzodiazepines. Symptoms include nausea, dizziness, loss of co-ordination, a lowering of inhibitions and unconsciousness.
No matter what, you should always keep an eye on your drink, there are alot of stupid people out there who want to simply mess with people.
Yeah, drink spiking is becoming more and more common everywhere now. Makes me very wary when I go out of a night now.
